- Garland
- Wire Hanger
- Wire Cutters
- Needle Nose Pliers
- Floral Wire
- Ribbon
- Fabric Scissors
- Snow Flock
- Spray Bottle with Water
- Protective Paper or Plastic
I started my wreath by grabbing my hanger and pulling information technology open. so rounding the shape into a semi circumvolve. The circle doesn't have to exist perfect, the garland will hide the shape. Then using the pliers I bent the hook open and wrapped information technology around the circumvolve.
Next I cut a department from my sometime garland and wrapped it around the circumvolve securing it at so ends with a piece of floral wire. Since the garland I was using was rather old and sad I cut a few extra small pieces of garland and filled in any spots that seemed thin securing them with more floral wire. Then I quickly fluffed all the pieces and made them move in the aforementioned management around the wreath.
Once that was finished I hung my newly made wreath on my wreath stand that I covered in plastic numberless, a must when working with snow flock. Its gluey and information technology covers everything!
To apply my snow flock I quickly sprayed down my wreath with water then began applying the flock using a sifter. Subsequently applying 1 sifter I would spray the flock with water over again. Check the coverage and add together more than if desired. Because the flock has larger pieces in information technology you lot want to gently tip and shake over the wreath not milk shake downward through the sifter.
Since I wanted my wreath to await authentically snowed on. I focused on applying the snow from above. This way at that place would be pocket-sized piles of snowfall on the branches. Once it was adequately applied from to a higher place I took my wreath off the stand and laid it flat and very lightly added flock to the residue of the wreath. Making certain information technology wasn't to heavy to backbite from the natural snowed wait.
Later letting my wreath dry for and 60 minutes I tied a quick cerise velvet bow and glued information technology in identify.
I know it may seem similar a lot to do in 10 minutes just I promise, information technology tin can be done! Information technology really is a fast and easy project and I am so happy with the outcome! It was a great style to reuse something quondam. And since the snow flock was left over from giving my tree a makeover, I didn't have to purchase anything to make these cute wreaths! Making information technology not only fast only inexpensive! The best kind of project for a busy and expensive holiday season!
Don't these wreaths look dandy next to my vintage Christmas Lithographs? I love them! It's the perfect mix of sometime and new!
